The Centre County Green Party will be holding its next executive committee meeting on Tuesday, May 21, at 10 a.m. in Schlow Library, at the Beaver Ave. & Allen St. intersection in downtown State College. We are looking for candidates willing to run for local or countywide seats in November. Also, we need help getting petitions signed to put their names on the ballot. Anyone registered (or has recently registered) as a Green Party member is welcome to attend this important meeting.

The excom is planning our next Centre County Green Party meeting for Saturday, May 25, at the Holt Memorial Library in Phillipsburg. Times and other details will be posted as soon as they become available.

And on Monday, June 10, we will gather from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Centre Hall Library, on Byrle Street near the Centre Hall elementary school for more discussions on how to make the Green political movement a force to be reckoned with in Central PA.

Two other regional events worth mentioning: Josh Fox will be bringing his Grass Roots Tour screenings of "Gasland Part II" to Harrisburg on June 18 and Williamsport on June 19. Further details will be posted soon for those interested in traveling to see Fox present his latest anti-fracking film. We can coordinate carpooling to the presentations if anyone is so interested.
