Susan E. Bardo announces candidacy for Magisterial District Judge

Susan E. Bardo is announcing her candidacy for the position of Magisterial District Judge in District 49-3-05, which comprises approximately one-half of State College Borough.  Although the district judges often have county-wide jurisdiction, they continue to be elected by district.  This district became vacant when Jonathan Grine was elected as a Judge of the Court of Common Pleas in Centre County.

Bardo is an attorney with the law firm of Stover, McGlaughlin, Gerace, Weyandt and McCormick, P.C., where she has practiced for eight years.  She is a graduate of Penn State University and holds a Juris Doctorate from Widener University School of Law.  She is a member of the Centre County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association.

Bardo has experience practicing both civil and criminal law.  She resides in State College with her husband, Curtis Johnson, and their three year old daughter.  She intends to cross-file in the May 21, 2013 primary election seeking both the Democratic and Republican party nominations.
