Mrs. Ethel Throckmorton, the great patron of the world-renowned Royal Gilbert & Sullivan Company, has died. Her dashing playboy nephew Robert Throckmorton is set to inherit the estate, which includes Shady Acres Retirement Home, the residence of the last remaining members of the well-seasoned Royal Gilbert & Sullivan Players. But the devil is in the details for Mr. Throckmorton — his aunt’s dying wish was that, to receive his inheritance, he first must stage a final showing of The Royal Gilberts. Giving a new twist to the youthful energy of “let’s put on a show,” the senior citizens of Shady Acres prepare themselves (and their accommodating audience)
