Join us in the intimate Upper Studio at The State Theatre for a celebration of the music and lyrics of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein-- with a twist: the audience performs the show!

Audience members will be given the lyrics to songs from “the big 5”: Oklahoma!, Carousel, South Pacific, The King and I, and The Sound of Music, while the character of Mrs. Anna, the impeccable teacher from The King and I, leads the audience in singing the best songs from this immortal team’s canon.  At the end of Act Two, the audience is the show! (There’s even a cast party with cake and punch!)

You won’t want to miss Oscar and I, conceived by and starring former State College resident and State High choral director, Jessie Barth.  Directed and co-written by Singing Onstage’s Richard Biever.

Only 60 seats available at each performance. Get your tickets now for an evening of theatre YOU help create!

*Produced by special arrangement with Rodgers and Hammerstein Library.
