Something You Did

a play by Willy Holtzman

directed by J.D. Shuchter

What if long ago you did something that you deeply regret, in the service of a cause that you still deeply believe in?

“ I made something of myself. You made bombs.”

So says the daughter of a police officer who died when the home-made bomb, meant to demonstrate the effect of U.S.Air Force cluster bombing, accidentally exploded.

“The Movement died. And you died with it. Only nobody told you.”

So says your former Weather Underground colleague, now a conservative media personality with connections – and perhaps a deal to offer.

You’re almost 30 years into your 20-to-life sentence, with a Parole Hearing coming up. Except for these two visitors, you see no one but your lawyer and your jailer.

What do you have to give? And what can you possibly want?
