The Artisan Connection is pleased to announce our January Artists of the Month, local artists Lisa Harpster and Marlene Rackley. A public reception and open house will be held from 5-8pm on the evening of Thursday, January 12th. We hope that you will be able to join us for the event. Also, come in and see our selected January sale items! About the Artists: Lisa Harpster grew up in State College and attended Penn State, majoring in Bio-behavioral Health. She then decided to pursue her dream as a creative and performing artist in LA and NYC. Lisa believes that one's jewelry can be a great expression of what's on the inside. Her pieces are all about color, design, taking risks and stepping outside the box. Marlene Rackley of State College is an accomplished artist in many mediums, including fused glass, beading, and altered art. Her favorite things to create are felted hats, purses and handmade jewelry. She offers workshops and enjoys teaching others to express their creativity. In February The Artisan Connection will feature artists Sandra Halpern and Barb Hunziker. More details to come!
