Sponsored by The Penn State Student Programming Association Directed by Ridley Scott This 1979 classic thriller is as good today as it was at its release nearly 30 years ago. Nostromo, a commercial spaceship intercepts an SOS signal from a distant planet on its way back to Earth. The crewmembers are obligated to investigate, and the ship lands on this foreign planet. Upon exploring the planet they discover an abandoned spaceship with a large chamber inside it filled with thousands of eggs. A curious team member gets too close to the egg and the parasite inside attacks him, rendering him unconscious. He is brought back aboard the spaceship and they quickly depart the planet. After a little while the parasite dies and his host wakes up seemingly unruffled. But other crewmembers are unaware of the living nightmare that is going to descend upon them.
