It’s back! The State Theatre is excited to announce the return of “The Read It, Watch It Summer Series,” presented in cooperation with The Schlow Library Summer Reading Program. This year’s series will run for nine weeks and feature a variety of classic and new children’s films that the young, and young at heart, will surely enjoy. Local charities will be featured each week and donations of canned goods and non-perishable food items will be collected every week for the State College Food Bank.

Charlotte’s Web

Based on the acclaimed children’s book by American author E .B. White, this classic story of loyalty, trust, and sacrifice comes to life in this adaptation. The story is about the unlikely friendship between a pig named Wilbur and Fern, the daughter of a farmer.  Wilbur, the runt of the litter, soon finds out his days are numbered.  But with the help of his new friends, and a determined spider named Charlotte, Wilbur gains a new boost of confidence and faith.  His destiny turns and instead of becoming a Christmas dinner, Wilbur wins an award at the county fair and becomes a permanent member of the farm family.
