Obama was the ONLY candidate to vote NO to Telcom Immunity

As far as I'm concerned, that means he's the ONLY candidate.

The Bush administration needs the Telcom Immunity amendment to cover up what they did, and how they broke the law.

What the amendment means, in fact, is this - if the President tells a corporation to do something, IT'S LEGAL BECAUSE THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH SAYS SO - wether or not Congress says it's legal, or the supreme court says it's legal. Wether or not the corporations know it's illegal - if the Executive Branch wants it, It's Legal.

The precedent of this Telcom Immunity undercuts and starts the destruction of the whole principle of Checks and Balances. It's the biggest assault on the constitution yet.

Here's a petition you can sign to ask the House of Representatives to fight against Telcom Immunity, even tho the Senate has betrayed the people.

Hillary Clinton was in Washington, but she declined to vote. This shows where her true loyalties lay - with the corporations, and against the constitution.

Bob Casey, our good-for-nothing, do-nothing, complete waste of a supposedly democratic senator, voted YES. He gave the Telcoms the immunity they want to cover up their crimes, and the Bush crimes.

BOB CASEY LOVES BUSH, and he doesn't mind it a bit if the constitution is weakened, and Pennsylvania citizens get the shaft.

Giving money to Casey was the biggest mistake I've ever made, politically. Never forget that he has done nothing, and betrayed the democrats every time.

Don't you love how she has

Don't you love how she has blasted Obama for his votes in the Illinois Senate and then essentially done the same...only WORSE...in the U.S. Senate. Her defense of civil liberties is abysmal. She cosponsored the anti-flag-burning amendment.

It's strange that PA suddenly has a role to play in this.

This is the first time in a long time, I suppose the first time in my political memeory, that Pennsylvania has had any real role to play in the national primaries. It seems slightly surreal.

Sadly, I rather expect Pa to go the way of Texas and Ohio. It's not like this is a particularly progressive state. Isn't it something like the second oldest state in the nation, in terms of average age? I assume Fla is the oldest.

Anyway, right now I'm saving up money for donations for the big battle in the fall. In some ways, I don't really care who wins, altho as I indicated in the first post, I've decided that Obama is my guy, because of the FISA vote.

And because backing him sends a message to the dynasties of politics-as-usual. The old corruption must stop. Better the unknown than the same old shit.
