"The Shock Doctrine" - video about Naomi Klein's book from famous director

This video is interesting, maybe a bit heavy handed, but worth watching, and I'm sure it's a fairly good overview of the theory put forth by Klein in her new book of the same name.
The video uses animations of torture and interrogation "shock" techniques as a metaphored way of illustrating how shock works on larger societies.
It's getting quite a few views on youtube.

Kieth Olbermann & Naomi Klein Discuss "Shock Doctrine"
The more I hear about the idea presented in "The Shock Doctrine - The Rise of Disaster Capitalism", the more I'm feeling that this is a really important and significant concept, one that we need to study more.
The corporations and our leaders do seem to be using "shock doctrine" strategy to impose new laws and limitations on civil liberties and traditional american freedoms, to start and justify wars (for oil?), and to transfer huge amounts of taxpayer money to the corporations, and to bail out those same corporations when, for example, they make a bunch of bad and sneaky loans.
And, there are almost certainly more shocks coming - the biggest one, in my opinion, the shock of realizing that peak oil is happening now, and that we are incredibly unprepared to deal with it.
Anyway, here's a youtube clip of Kieth Olbermann interviewing Naomi Klein about the book, with some good new illustrations of how the shock doctrine has been applied in the past, for example by Pinochet in his right wing crackdowns in Chile.
