Jeremy’s Race – April 16, 2013 - this year benefits the families of the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting

Come out and run or walk this 5K in memory of Jeremy Herbstritt at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16 at University Park, Pa.

All proceeds will be donated to the families of the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, CT.

We're “going shirtless” for Sandy Hook! You may wear a shirt! We are just not printing new shirts, to increase the total donation from this event. No big prizes, just funds raised for a community in need.

Jeremy was a 1998 Bellefonte Area High School graduate, and a 2003 Penn State Alum.  At the time of his death, on April 16, 2007, he was a graduate student at Virginia Tech pursuing a master’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering.

The race will start and finish on Curtin Road near the Intramural Building. Parking is available near Shields Building and across University Drive at the Bryce Jordan Center.

Race day registration and packet pickup will take place from 5:15-6:15 p.m. Make checks payable to “The Jeremy Herbstritt Memorial Fund.”
