I didn't know we had a sensory deprivation float tank center in State College

When I was young I started a floating center here in state college for a few years. A fascinating experiment, but a business failure. At least I got to float a lot. Some of my best models of the mind had their origins in the tank observations.

Someone told me there was a John Lilly sensdep REST float tank in which you can rent time in town - and so there is, or at least a website for one...

My name is Elaine Williams. I established Central Tank Works in 2010. After experiencing the floatation tank, I realized the tank is a valuable service I could provide to others. Floating in the tank is a helpful tool to slow down to recognize one's patterns in their life. By recognizing the patterns and their origin, one can begin to make changes in their life.

My background includes teaching people how the mind works, helping others to find solutions to problems, business training, insurance, creative writing, as well as teaching introductory and advanced insurance courses to undergrads at the Pennsylvania State University.

It's a samadhi tank - an old established brand. Not bad.
