You wouldn't know it from this morning's CDT but the State College Borough Council did meet last night.

It was what we call a Work Session: We discuss but we don't take formal votes and, by long custom, the Mayor doesn't participate. Nevertheless, some issues which may affect the lives of everybody who lives, works, or just sometimes visits the Borough were dealt with.

Ever since Adam Smeltz left the CDT for the greener pastures of South Jersey, our daily paper has allowed the Council to operate almost completely in the dark. Thank god for C-Net but this is a hell of a way to run a democracy.
