Free Market Capitalism vs. Socialism: a simple Analogy

As explained in a free market, Capitalism vs. Socialism Analogy by an economics professor at Texas Tech, Steve Latter.

An economics professor at Texas Tech said he had never failed a single student before but had, once, failed an entire class. That class had insisted that socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer. The professor then said ok, we will have an experiment in this class on socialism.

All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A. After the first test the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied
hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. But, as the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too; so they studied little. The second test average was a D! No one was happy. When the 3rd test rolled around the average was an F.

The scores never increased as bickering, blame, and name calling all resulted in hard feelings as no one would study any longer for the benefit of anyone else.

Two Points of View

Conservative

In 2009, the United States printed $2 trillion and guaranteed it with IOUs. As the Obama administration continues to print more money, the liberals try to make everyone believe that their actions will get us out of debt and recession. By printing more money, their philosophy is to hand out free money as it was easy to come by and as a result make people believe that getting it for free is better than working. Eventually, more jobs will be lost, people will stop looking for work, and when there are more takers than givers, the capitalist system will totally collapse.

Liberal

While the workers who work hard are getting stressed out, those who collect unemployment can lay back and enjoy their free time. With the healthcare bill signed into law, you now can stay home and enjoy hobbies like art. If you are under 26, you can stay under your parent’s insurants with nothing to worry about. After the cap and trade bill is passed, things will get even better. The darn capitalists will be forced to lay off more people and you’ll have more friends to hang around with. And if you do decided that you want to work, the government is hiring 16,000 new IRS agents to enforce the President's mandate on the American people. Those will be jobs created. No need to worry about collage. We’ll make those who work pay for it.

Capitalists are nothing but whiners. After the healthcare bill was passed, AT&T started whining that they already lost $1 billion because of the passage, two of the nation’s largest employers, John Deer and Caterpillar, claim it will cost them billions and to top it off, Towers Watson whined to the Wall Street Journal that the total hit this year for them will reach nearly $14 billion. What are they going to do? Lay off more people? Don’t they know that we have printing presses rolling and will never run out of unemployment money?

Draw Your Own Conclusions

On several occasions I received an email stating “We are shutting down some email accounts and your account, http://cybercorrespondent.blogspot.com was automatically chosen.” Whoever sent the message also asked me to provide my account, password, birth date and country. I contacted Google and was told that the email did not come from them and to delete it.

On a separate occasion, under Cybercorrespondent on Google search, I discovered a web address which made my firewall go haywire after clicking on it. I contacted Google asking them to look into it but was ridiculed by their people, who Google claims to be volunteers. I also contacted wordpress.com, to whom the address was subscribed to and was told that they found nothing wrong with the sight and to make sure that my computer was not causing the problems. I found nothing wrong with my computer and never clicked on the web address in question again.

On a separate occasion, under Cybercorrespondent, I discovered that Google is displaying a way outdated posting under http://cybercorrespondent.blogspot.com. I went back in my archives and replaced it with a recent one.

Unite Against Tyranny or Relinquish Liberty

The Obama-Pelosi-Reid machine has combined the radicalism of Saul Alinsky, the corruption of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 />Springfield, Ill., and the machine power politics of Chicago. What we saw Sunday night was a pressured, bought, intimidated vote worthy of Hugo Chavez and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, but unworthy of the United States of America.

Democratic Congressman, Alcee Hastings, articulated the principles of this machine mentality perfectly when he said, "There ain't no rules here, we're trying to accomplish something. . . .All this talk about rules. . . .When the deal goes down . . . we make 'em up as we go along." And he’s one of the more honest democrats in Congress who while serving as a federal judge, was impeached and removed from the bench before being elected to the House.

<?xml:namespace prefix = o />

The American people will not allow a corrupt machine to dictate their future and the ballot box is not our only option.

The Healthcare Bill was Instituted by The Powers That Be

This bill has nothing to do with healthcare or helping anybody but those who are forcing it down our throats. It’s part of a progressive agenda which was designed by what some call “THE POWERS THAT BE”, a group that includes likes of George Soros. Now that all stars have lined up for them they are making their move and to lead the move is a mystery man who no one can question. Watch this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlGV49wYjNE

Obamacare is a move towards dictatorship

A retired Constitutional lawyer has read the entire proposed healthcare bill. Read his conclusions and pass this on as you wish. This is stunning!

Please take the time to read this and forward it out as you see fit.  Thanks

The Truth About the Health Care Bills - Michael Connelly, Ret. Constitutional Attorney

Well, I have done it!  I have read the entire text of proposed House Bill 3200: The Affordable Health Care Choices Act of 2009. I studied it with particular emphasis from my area of expertise, constitutional law.  I was frankly concerned that parts of the proposed law that were being discussed might be unconstitutional.

When the conditions are ripe for a total takeover

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton just announced that the Obama Administration would be working hand in glove with the UN to pass a new Small Arms Treaty designed to register, ban and confiscate firearms owned by private citizens. This is nothing more than a massive, global gun control scheme. Next step is to weaken the military, shrink down the police force, and allow groups such as ACORN, Black Panthers and union thugs with baseball bats, led by Andy Stern, control the outcomes of elections, food distributions and managing chaos. When there are more people on welfare rolls than taxpayers, and those who keep getting extended unemployment checks without having to work than those who work two to three jobs to survive, the conditions will be ripe for a total takeover. And that’s how they intend to do it. Just ask Van Jones.

Massive rejection of the SOPM party

Late at night, hoping that everyone’s attention was on the health care summit, the Democrats attempted to bury a provision in their annual intelligence bill that would create a new criminal offense for the CIA and intelligence community. Instead of concentrating on protecting and defending our nation, the far left liberals, known as the SOPM party, meaning spent other people’s but not their own money party, tried to target the man and woman who stand in harm’s way to protect us. Republicans brought this to the attention of the American people, who became outraged and their attempt was derailed.<?xml:namespace prefix = o />

Now the American people must work together to stop the SOPM party-backed healthcare bill that would destroy the best health care system in the world and bankrupt this great country.

There is a massive rejection of the SOPM party taking place in our country.  Americans are mad as hell and they are not going to take it anymore.  It is time <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 />Washington is sent a clear message that the right kind of change is needed and if you continue to ignore the will of the people, you will no longer be allowed to represent them. If you agree, there is something you can do about it by joining the interactive march on Washington.

How Things Went From Good to Bad

As of early 2006, before the Democrats took control of Congress, consumer confidence stood at a 2-1/2 year high, the average gas price before the 2006 election was $1.50-2.00, the unemployment rate in Feb., 2006 was 4.7%. This kind of prosperity was more than the liberal media could stomach and they concentrated only on what Bush had done in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 />Iraq. As far as the crises we are in today, the liberals will continuously ignore the facts and continue to trash Bush. Educate yourselves by reading the New York Times article. Look at the date it was written.

New Agency Proposed to Oversee Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae - New York Times

WASHINGTON, Sept.

The Porkulus Bill

One year ago, President Barack Obama signed into law an $862 billion porkulus bill claiming that:

  1. Unemployment Would Not Rise Above 8 Percent. (REALITY: Since Obama Signed Stimulus Last February, Unemployment Currently At 10 Percent.)
  2. Would Create 3.5 Million Jobs By End Of 2010. (REALITY: <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 />America Has Lost 2.8 Million Jobs.)
  3. Would Create Construction Jobs. (REALITY: 712,000 Construction Jobs Have Been Lost.)
  4. Obama Claims Stimulus Created Manufacturing Jobs. (REALITY: 847,000 Manufacturing Jobs Have Been Lost.
  5. Obama Claims Stimulus Created Teaching Jobs.

Reasons the Obama Administration is being rejected

According to Barack Obama, video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vUsNMsrGycY, Obama searched out Marxist (Communist) Professors in college and set out to accomplish his life long dream to fundamentally change this country, video  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0Kd-YJCdp0. Funded by hundreds of leftist front-groups operating as special interest 527 organizations, and with the help of ACORN and union thugs, he took the Oval Office and began shredding the constitution.

Watch the man with the highest IQ

The Chicago Machine

The Chicago mafia has gotten weaker, but the Mayer Daily’s democratic machine has become a force to reckon with.  The Chicago machine has infiltrated the White House and together with the corrupt democratic congress and senate, watching their plan unfold is like watching the movie “Invasion of the Body Snatchers”. Instead of taking the country apart brick by brick, as Van Jones had intended, Obama came up with a better plan and together with the rest of the progressives started using a wrecking ball. But than again, that’s what the voters asked for by voting for an empty suite that is a rubber stamp for the far left and allowing ACORN to do what they do.

Political points to ponder

What would happen if any other political party pushed for a cap and trade bill that could create green jobs of which 9 out of 10 created would be unsustainable, require government subsidizing and cost the nations economy millions of real jobs? And this is not to mention the increase in manufacturing costs that would be passed on to us in time of depression.

No matter if you are a Democrat, Republican, Libertarian or an Independent, what do you think is going to happen when the government revenues are down and spending is quadrupled? As one senator from Florida was categorized as, “One must be a fry short of a happy meal” to believe that wiping out the U.S. dollar and reducing the purchasing power of our salaries and retirement savings is a good thing.
