Single Moms
Submitted by danigirlm800 on December 9, 2008 - 10:06pmI believe a major issue faced by single women today is the struggle of raising and nurturing their children in a safe, healthy, and happy environment.
It is unfortunate that many single mothers struggle to do everything for their children with little to no support. Single mothers have it hard when it comes to juggling the responsibilities of a job and being both mother and father in their children’s lives. They have to find the time to spend with their children while also bringing home the money to support them. This must be very hard and stressful for them. A single mother not only plays the role of provider and parent but also friend, playmate and teacher.
Is it harder for a mother to raise a son than a daughter because she must try to provide, or teach him, the same things that a man would if there was a male figure in the picture? Do you think that women are capable of teachings boys, male things? I do not see how they have a choice. They have to do the best they can to fill those needs themselves. If they do not then who will teach the child?

The differences in the resumes submitted by two people can be good as it shows where a person’s strengths and skills are. However, the information on a resume can be used to discriminate.

Single Women in Poverty

Submitted by danigirlm800 on October 30, 2008 - 2:44pmWhen it comes to sexual needs, the healthcare industry caters towards the needs of men more than it does the to needs of women. Did you know that the majority of healthcare companies will cover Viagra but not birth control? For women who cannot afford birth control, this makes being sexually active very risky. If a woman can't afford birth control, she certainly can't afford a baby. So what is the difference between a medication that makes it possible for men to be sexually active and a medication that makes it possible for women?
